Want to work at Google?

Getting hired by the likes of Google is a phenomenal task.

If you think you are smart, there are 10,000 people just as smart - or smarter - than you are. (10,000 are the number of people Google has on its payroll around the world.)
Here is how to get a foot in the door:
  1. Get a graduate from a brand-name university such as Stanford and Harvard. The company places a strong prominence on skill, and having gone through these schools shows you have some.
  2. Make sure you keep a grade point average of 4.0 or even higher. Anything less than an A could count against you.
  3. Be a team player. You will not be doing much solo work or getting your own workspace here, so start learning to play ball with others.
  4. Get recommended. A good word from a current Google employee is a leg-up. Google believes that good people recognize other good people. So if your resume is passed on through someone already working there, your probability of getting in is increased.
  5. Acquire diverse interests. It is a bonus if you like mountain climbing and charity work, but make sure you have actually scaled the Himalayas or volunteered with Unicef, because Google likes people who just do it.
  6. Do not be evil. This is Google's motto and it should be yours too. This means that whenever you have a chance, you should show through your interview that you are principled, honest and good. Google engineers, for instance, have to weigh the financial pluses of implementing certain features into their products against how much good or bad it does for the user, and they swear they always take the path of least evil.

Faded question mark in Quicktime Logo in Firefox and IE 7.0

After updating the Adobe Flash Player, Shock wave Player and Apple Quick Time Player to latest version I got this problem. Whenever I visit the trailer website I am getting a faded question mark in Quicktime Logo in the browser. When checked with Apple Quicktime support team, they asked me to re-install my player to stand alone player. I did that also still cannot able to solve the problem.

How to solve this problem?

As usual I googled for the solution I cant find it. Then went to search in Yahoo and got the solution for it. To fix it in firefox find out the file name NPSWF32.dll.

Normally it will in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll. Copy this file and paste it in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins folder. Now it will work in Firefox. Copy the same file in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\plugins folder. This one will solve the problem.

CAT03MSK.dll was not found

In our office we are using ACCPAC Accounting software, which is developed in Visual Basic and back end is Pervasive SQL. Suddenly yesterday when I click the ACCPAC Program shortcut it displays the error

CAT03MSK.dll was not found

I didnt do any changes in my PC but still got this error. Then finally I discovered that autoexec.bat is missing in my PC since I am using windows 98 as OS. I copied the Autoexec from another PC and restarted my PC. Thats it. My ACCPAC is working.
What content is there in AUTOEXEC.BAT file?

SET PATH=R:\RUNTIME;C:\CA_APPSW

The path is not settuped for the program to start so I got this error. If you get this error in windows xp or windows 2000 or windows vista Set it in Control Panel/System.
Another error occured in windows xp for accpac.

Description: Error occurred when activating ACCPAC Data Source.

Code: 1.423

Source: 07:20:28- DS.adsCSOPT

For the above error try installing the latest MSXML.MSI, that would be the solution for that error in all the other OS's.

Minimized Windows Don't Appear on Taskbar

This problem persisits yesterday to me. I tried to minimize my programs, the program icon doesn't appear on the taskbar. When I click CTR+ALT+DEL I can see the program running. As usual I googled and got this solution. I hope it will be helpful to you also.
Open 'Control Panel' and select 'Add/Remove Programs'.
Check for the program entries of WinSrvReg and Friend Greetings.
If found, uninstall the program and reboot.
